Â
8. Information about specific exercises
During the testing of the All In 1 Fitness Strap, certain exercises were classified as a higher risk of injury than others. This section only covers the safety measures for exercises related to their use with the All In 1 Fitness Strap and does not cover general safety measures for each exercise. To help prevent you from injuring yourself, we are providing you with additional safety precautions for the following exercises:
Spinal Decompression
Use caution with this exercise. Allow for a slow and smooth decompression. Do not use excessive force as this could damage your spine and possibly cause permanent injury.
Assisted Sit Up Using Decline Bench
When using a bench angle of 30* or more, adjust the seat pad to a flat position as a precaution to prevent the possibility of sliding down the bench and landing on your head.
Kneeling Upper Abs Crunch
We do not recommend using a long bar attachment with the AbMat Pivot Pad attached. Don't force Pivot Pad to go any further than a vertical plane for its rotation or you risk Pivot Pad flipping over and coming off the bar which could result in injury.
Chest Pull Over
Keep your arms slightly bent. Keeping your arms straight throughout creates a longer lever and poorer leverage which may increase your chance of injury. It is not recommended to use heavy long bars as this can put a strain on your rotator cuff getting in and out of position.
Back Pull Over
Keep your arms slightly bent. Keeping your arms straight throughout creates a longer lever and poorer leverage which may increase your chance of injury
Assisted Pike Push Up Using Bench
It is recommended to use a heavy-duty bench that weighs enough to remain stable on the ground. A guideline is the bench should weigh at least more than half of your body weight.
You must have heavy-duty non-skid rubber flooring at least 3/8 inch thick. Foam tile flooring will not work for this exercise because the bench will slide and not remain in a stable position.
It is recommended to introduce yourself to this exercise with a lot of assistance and then progressively lower the assistance to find a starting assistance you are comfortable with.
Do not attempt this exercise if you are a beginner.
Straight Arm Pull Down
If you are experiencing any tendon strain when using arm straps then bend your arms slightly to prevent this.
It is not recommended to use handles on this exercise due to the long lever arm and poor leverage. A long bar works fine on certain bench angles.
Front Shoulder Raise
It is not recommended to use handles on this exercise due to the long lever arm and poor leverage. A long bar works fine.
Lateral Shoulder Raise
If you are experiencing any tendon strain when using arm straps then bend your arms slightly to prevent this.
It is not recommended to use handles on this exercise due to the long lever arm and poor leverage.
Leg Press
Do not attempt any type of leg press by attaching the AbMat Pivot Pad to a long bar and using your feet to press against it. This is way too unstable.
Assisted Deck Squat
It is not recommended to do this exercise using a cable machine because you risk damaging or even breaking your cable. Do this exercise only using the suspension trainer version.
Pendulum Squat
If using the cable attachment version then it is recommended to use the maximum amount of weight on the machine to support you to keep you from falling backward and injuring yourself.
Be very cautious when first trying this exercise and slowly lower yourself to the starting position to ensure the weight on the machine can support you. Do not put yourself in a fully leaned-back position without taking this safety precaution.
If you are a heavy person then it is not recommended to attempt this exercise on a cable machine. Use the suspension trainer version instead.
Inverted Leg Extension
This exercise is tricky to get into and out of position and requires very good balance as you run the risk of falling off the bench.
Tailbone Stretch
This exercise is tricky to get into and out of position and requires very good balance as you run the risk of falling off the bench.
Â
9. Stopping exercise
Stop exercise immediately if you experience certain symptoms such as, but not limited to, pain, discomfort, dizziness, inability to breathe, and nausea. Dial 911 or go to your nearest medical care facility if needed.
